I just let the people with the Historical Novel Society know that I will be heading to their conference in September. Looking forward to seeing all of you!
Greyhaus Literary Agency is closed to submissions
Beginning December 16, 2011 and running through March, 2012 (at least) Greyhaus will be clsoed to submissions.
Submissions and requests that came in before December 16th will be still considered.
Reqeusts from conferences, critiques and so forth will also be considered.
Submissions coming in after the 16th will not be read.

In an attempt to reach a few more authors, beginning in September of 2011 Greyhaus will launch a quarterly newsletter. We'll have information about authors, craft articles and the like.
ATTENTION CATEGORY WRITERS
I'm looking for CATEGORY writers. You know who you are so start thinking about your stories. Make sure that you have the following ready to go:
- At least one completed story fitting a specific category line.
- Know exactly which category romance line this story fits with.
- Have either additional stories, or works in progress, or stories drafted that would also fit that specific line.
ATTENTION CHAPTER PRESIDENTS AND CONFERENCE COORDINATORS
I was talking with a couple of other agents at a conference recently and we were talking about attending conferences. They were shocked that I had time off. They had heard from some presidents and conference coordinators that chapters were struggling to find people.
As I have said from the beginning, all you have to do is ask. I will teach all day and listen to pitches by night. Not a bad deal.
Can't afford it on your own? Get together with another chapter and pool resources.

SEMINARS BY SCOTT

Along the same lines, let me know about those conferences! I would certainly love to come and hear pitches! Please though, ask me to help out at your conference. Don't just pay for me to come and hear pitches and sit on that editor/agent panel. If you're paying for me to come, use me!!!
